INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed artist Chaco Kato has joined with local school children to build an interactive installation for the whole family to enjoy.
The unique installation, Incy Wincy Spicy Bazaar, is in the form of a canopy-like structure made out of bamboo, fabric, rope, string, food and other common materials.
Children from Dandenong West Primary School took part in two workshops with the artist to help make her idea a reality.
On exhibition from Saturday 12 September to Friday 25 September, the installation will be accompanied by children’s activities that are designed to encourage children to add to the concept with their own creations.
Incy Wincy Spicy is on display at the Walker Street Gallery and is part of the Greater Dandenong Children’s Festival.
