ST MARY’S Primary students put their stamina to the test for a good cause.
The Dandenong school raised more than $1800 for a new water bore in Uganda through a wooden yoke challenge on Thursday 17 September.
Teacher Margaret Greig said the children sought sponsorship and used yokes to carry buckets of water around the school oval.
“As a school this term we’ve been fund-raising for a village in Uganda,” she said.
“The whole school’s been doing this together.”
