Hill keen to replace Griffin

JULIAN Hill hopes to take Bruce MP Alan Griffin’s place at next year’s Federal Election.
Mr Griffin is retiring from parliament after holding the seat since 1996 – the first time in Australian Labor Party hands since its creation in 1955.
Bruce includes Springvale, Noble Park, Dandenong North and parts of Dandenong.
Mr Hill grew up in Burwood, attended high school in Glen Waverley, and graduated from Monash University with degrees in science and law.
He worked for Mr Griffin for five years from 1995, and has held senior positions within the Victorian Public Service.
Mr Hill was elected to Port Phillip Council at age 25 and became the city’s youngest mayor, and has been an ALP member for more than 20 years.
