Healthy, happy and smart art

Young artists are invited to explore what keeps them happy and healthy.
The Greater Dandenong SELF[Y] Youth Art Exhibition will be launched in Mental Health Week, 9 to 15 October, and submissions close on Thursday 15 September.
Painting, photography, drawing, printmaking and sculpture are all welcome.
Artists are encouraged to think creatively about the behaviours, activities and habits that keep them feeling happy and healthy.
Entry is open to artists aged 12 to 25 years with a connection to Greater Dandenong.
All shortlisted work will go on display as part of the exhibition at Heritage Hill Museum and Historical Gardens.
The exhibition will be launched on Thursday 13 October and will stay on display until Friday 4 November.
A People’s Choice Award will be decided online, with the top five images to be transformed into postcards promoting positive mental health.
Mental Health Week is a national event that aims to engage and educate Australians about mental health.
