Cop shop gets a revamp

Portables are replacing Dandenong Police Station’s service counter during renovations.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said works were being undertaken in the custody and watch house areas at the Langhorne Street site.
“The works are expected to take three weeks,” she said.
“During this time there is a temporary counter service area for members of the public to attend from 7am to 7pm.
“There is temporary signage to direct members of the public at the site.”
She said that outside those hours, for non-urgent inquiries, the community could attend the nearby Narre Warren or Springvale police stations.
“As always the area has a 24-hour dedicated police response by calling triple-zero,” she said.
