Police have warned that a man who is still on the run after a Dandenong North shooting last week may be armed.
They appealed for help after at least one shot was fired at officers as they tried to arrest a man on Tuesday 7 March.
A spokeswoman said on Thursday 9 March that he had not yet been apprehended.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man, a 44-year-old man and a woman over the shooting incident.
They charged a 30-year-old Clayton South woman with two counts of possessing a drug of dependence, one count of motor vehicle theft and one count of dealing proceeds of crime.
Police charged a 43-year-old Dandenong North man with breaching his bail conditions and a 31-year-old man of no fixed address with being a prohibited person possessing a firearm, possessing ammunition without a licence, three counts of possessing a drug of dependence, possessing a prohibited weapon and possessing a controlled weapon.
All three were due to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 8 March.
The investigation is ongoing.
The shooting occurred after officers tried to intercept a vehicle on Stud Road in Dandenong North about 9am.
They alleged that the driver did not stop, that they approached an address that the car had been seen at and two men ran from the property.
Police followed on foot towards a block of units, when a firearm was allegedly discharged in their direction. No one was injured.
Officers cordoned off the area and a number of other police units, including the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) and the Dog Squad, attended.
