Keysborough will soon have a 24-hour pharmacy.
On Friday 26 May, the State Government announced that Parkmore Pharmacy 4 Less would become a Supercare Pharmacy from 30 June.
Keysborough MP Martin Pakula said a nurse would be on site from 6pm to 10pm daily to provide face-to-face health advice and treatment for minor injuries or illness.
The free nursing service will also help with wound management, physical assessment, flu and whooping cough immunisations, health screening, sexual health advice and referrals to other services.
“Pharmacy 4 Less in Parkmore will help local families and shift-workers get the non-emergency care and urgent medications they need after hours,” Mr Pakula said.
“This will also give locals in Keysborough and surrounding suburbs an alternative to going to a busy emergency department for minor injury or illness, taking some pressure off the system.”
