Laptop, jewellery lost in armed robbery

Two thieves attacked their victim from behind in an early-morning Springvale armed robbery.
Police said the 19-year-old was near Springvale and Kemp roads about 6.30am on Wednesday 5 July when the men approached and grabbed his backpack.
They produced a weapon, which police declined to name, and fled on foot with his laptop and jewellery.
Police said the men appeared to be alcohol-affected and might have been speaking in a foreign language.
They urged any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
