More than half of the beams needed to raise the rail line in Noble Park are now in place.
Workers and Dandenong MP Gabrielle Williams marked the milestone on Wednesday 16 August.
There are 100 beams of a total 200 in place for the 2.2 kilometres of elevated rail that will remove the Corrigan, Heatherton and Chandler road level crossings.
