Drugs haul: two charged

By Helen Velissaris

Two people have been charged after a huge quantity of ice and weapons were found in houses in Dandenong and Seaford.
Police raided two properties on 25 September, where they arrested a 33-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man from Seaford.
A gun, ammunition and a taser were uncovered as well as a large amount of ice, police say.
“It was a substantial amount,” Detective Sergeant Craig West told the Dandenong Journal.
“A trafficable amount is 6g but (we found) 15 times that.”
Both were charged with trafficking and possessing methamphetamine, and the man was also charged with possessing the unregistered gun, ammunition and the taser.
The man was remanded, and was set to appear at the Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 26 September, while the woman was bailed to face Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 26 November.
