Dandenong West Primary School has officially unveiled its castle.
The school hosted a launch event for the Community Castle on Thursday 26 October.
The facility is a men’s shed financed through a crowd-funding campaign and a State Government grant over the past three years.
The cash transformed an old shed into a workshop for school dads and other men in the community.
The launch featured games, prizes and a barbecue and celebrated the benefits of having men in the lives of children and family life.
It also acknowledged the men and external supporters who contributed to developing the Community Castle.
Principal Bev Hansen said the castle was part of creating a community hub at the school – one that will draw in more parents and a wider pool of residents.
