Locking’s the key

Police are warning Greater Dandenong drivers to be vigilant after thieves struck several cars left unlocked – and some with the keys in the ignition.
On the Eyewatch Greater Dandenong Facebook page, they said the number one tip to prevent vehicle theft was to never leave the keys in the car.
“Most car thefts occur in or around private residences, so it is important to take steps to protect your car even if it is parked in a garage, driveway or residential street,” they said.
“Always physically check if your car is locked, even when parking at home or just leaving your car for a moment.”
