A Narre Warren mum won $1 million with a TattsLotto ticket bought in Dandenong on a whim.
The anonymous winner held the only winning entry nationally in the Monday 12 March draw.
She came forward to claim her prize on Thursday 15 March.
“I’m not really a regular player, which is why I hadn’t registered it but I thought I’d grab a random QuickPick,” she said.
“My family were pretty stoked when I told them but we haven’t done anything to celebrate yet – we’re waiting for it to sink in first.
“Once it’s finalised I’m sure we will think of something!”
The winner plans to pay off her mortgage first.
“We’ve already booked a holiday to the United States so maybe we could make it a bit more luxurious or extend it a bit I think,” she said.
She bought the 18-game QuickPick from Palm Plaza Lotto.
Owner Sineth Sar was thrilled that the winner had come forward.
“I’m so happy they have claimed the prize,” she said.
“All of my customers have been asking if anyone has claimed it and we’ve been wondering where they are!
“We are just glad that they have been united with their $1 million.
“We wish them all the best with their prize.”
Ms Sar said it was the second division-one winning ticket she’d sold in the past five months.
