207km/h driver arrested on Monash

A man’s car has been impounded after being allegedly detected speeding at more than 200 km/h on Monash Freeway.

The Holden Commodore was clocked on a laser speed gun at 207 km/h between EastLink and Stud Road in Dandenong North about 1.10am on 25 July.

Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol officers caught up to the vehicle and intercepted it at Heatherton Road.

A 23-year-old Endeavour Hills man was arrested and is expected to be charged on summons.

The vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1093.
