Pedestrian killed in Dandenong South

A fatal collision has claimed the life of a pedestrian in Dandenong South on Sunday 21 October.

It is believed the pedestrian was struck by a Toyota Corolla sedan travelling west on Dandenong Bypass, near Hammond Road about 5.30am.

The pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The driver, a man in his forties, is assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the pedestrian on the freeway prior to the crash, or anyone who may have dash cam footage.
