Golfers score high for charity

About 100 golfers teed off for the 10th annual City of Greater Dandenong charity golf day.

The Take a Swing for Charity event at Huntingdale golf course raised up to $50,000 for Wallara and the newly-formed Greater Dandenong Community Aid Consortium.

“We have received fantastic support for this event over the past ten years and this year was no exception,” mayor Roz Blades said.

“The atmosphere was infectious with everyone wanting to give back to the people who need it most in our community.”

The charity day has raised more than $400,000 for charities since its inception.
