Baker’s recipe for health

A Keysborough baker is doing her bit to ‘raise dough’ for charity.

As part of the Raise Dough campaign, Kerry Tang is cooking up batches of cupcakes – in either cookie-and-cream or red velvet flavours.

All funds raised go to Reach Out, a digital helpline for young people with mental health issues.

Ms Tang, a self-taught baker, initially knew nothing more than cooking with a packet mix.

She has since perfected her recipes, founding a business Cuppy and Cake.

Life has challenges but it’s important to find positivity and to look after your physical and mental wellbeing, she says.

Along with practising mindfulness, Ms Tang finds baking therapeutic.

“It’s a chance to slow down, perfect my recipe and get it just right.”
