Faces of Harmony on display

Dandenong Primary School has launched their Faces of Harmony photographic exhibition at Dandenong’s Heritage Hill Museum and Historic Gardens.

The school serves what is now Australia’s number one most culturally diverse community and is home to children, families and staff from all corners of the world who come together to learn and teach, and to celebrate our nation’s cultural diversity.

Every year, the school invites children and families to dress in cultural attire as part of Harmony Week celebrations.

In 2019, this special moment in time was captured by talented Melbourne photographer, Julieanna Perara, and these photos are now on display in the Heritage Hill gallery for the next month.

Principal Daniel Riley says, “Harmony celebrations are about inclusiveness, respect, freedom, friendship and a sense of belonging. Harmony Week is a significant celebration for the Dandenong Primary School community.”

The Faces of Harmony exhibition is open to the public on Tuesdays to Fridays from 10.00am until 4.00pm from 17 September to 25 October.
