Amazon beds down support for kids

Staff at Amazon fulfilment centre in Dandenong have turned up to work in their pyjamas, in solidarity with children with cancer.

It was ‘PJammin Days’ on 18 and 19 September, as part of an Amazon Goes Gold global initiative on childhood cancer.

The centre will present more than $5000 to Royal Children’s Hospital’s children’s cancer centre in Melbourne.

“Every year, thousands of children wear pajamas for weeks and months straight while in cancer treatment,” Amazon Australia operations director Craig Fuller said.

“Amazon Goes Gold not only raises awareness around this issue, but brings a spotlight to the incredible work that is being done by many organisations to increase survival rates and find a cure for childhood cancer.”
