Hazmat incident at factory

Fire fighters have been called to a hazmat incident at a paint factory in Dandenong South.

Seven CFA crews were called out to the plant on the corner of Pound Road West and South Gippsland Highway about 12.10pm on Thursday 6 February.

A CFA spokesperson said there had been concerns about “over-pressurisation” of a 200-litre container in the factory.

No one was reportedly injured.

WorkSafe is investigating the scene.
