Pet sheep case in Supreme Court of Victoria

A Springvale mechanic’s battle to keep his pet sheep Baa at his home and next-door workshop entered the Supreme Court of Victoria last Thursday.

Vu Ho is fighting Greater Dandenong Council, which fined him $220 and ordered him to remove the 14-year-old sheep from his property last year.

He estimates the combined legal costs for himself and the council is $130,000. Under council law, livestock cannot be kept on less than half a hectare.
