The Hawks
No. 3: Tough and inspirational midfielder and half-forward and joint vice-captain, Jordan Lewis was the top provider of goal assists to Coleman Medal winner Lance Franklin.
No 15: Captain Luke ‘Mr Fixit’ Hodge can turn a game with his hard-at-the-ball approach. Will lead the club despite last week’s miss.
No. 23: The game’s biggest star, Lance Franklin is a nightmare opponent who revels in the one-on-ones. His short, damaging bursts through the midfield make him almost impossible to match up.
The Swans
No. 12: Defender Josh Kennedy has blossomed since joining the Swans from Hawthorn in 2010. He topped the AFL in clearances last season and finished second at the Swans in disposals and third in tackles.
No. 37: Co-captain and dual Brownlow medallist Adam Goodes will send shudders through defenders in Saturday’s grand final. At 31, he is at his scintillating best.
No. 25: Full-back Ted Richards has taken on a leadership role in the Swans backline and is rarely beaten. He finished third at the club with 107 marks for the season. As in the photo above, he will probably take on ‘Buddy’ Franklin on Saturday.
