OCCUPANTS in a central Springvale apartment block were evacuated due to a suspicious fire fuelled by toilet paper early Saturday morning.
Police say fire started in the Buckingham Avenue building’s stairwell between 4-5am, causing minor damage to its paintwork.
Detective Senior Constable Nick Lamb, of Greater Dandenong CIU, said ‘‘exhibits’’ were seized from the blaze.
