Miniature art in exhibition

Tiny specimens of art have been unveiled in the 9 by 5 exhibition at Walker Street Gallery and Art Centre. The show features more than 100 artworks — each 9×5 inches. They include landscape paintings, abstract works, collage and conceptual pieces. The concept is based on an exhibition of painted 9×5-inch cigar box lids at Buxton’s of Swanston Street, Melbourne in 1889. The free exhibition runs until December 22.
