Husband and wife Brenton and Jacqui Edgecombe are set to lock bows for a string showdown at Drum Theatre this week.
Better known as the duo String Fever, the pair will put on what they call a “musical battle of the sexes” in their show Riffs and Tiffs. Their weapons of choice are a cello and fiddle.
The humorous hand-fight includes blows of bluegrass, Beethoven and the Beatles, and gentle slaps at Andre Rieu and Elton John.
The show is the first act in the Drum’s monthly Encore Matinee series. Tickets include free parking vouchers and complimentary tea and coffee.
Riffs and Tiffs is on the Drum Theatre, Dandenong, this Wednesday and Thursday at 10.30am. Tickets: adults $20, Drum members $13.50 and groups $16. Bookings: 9771 6666. Details: drumtheatre.com.au.
