THE Noble Park Bowls Club number one men’s side defeated Mulgrave Country Club by 53 shots and remains on top of the Division Six Section Three ladder.
All rinks won, with Paul Bugg’s team of Jan Faber, Martin Murphy and Jim McCallum winning 44-9.
The seconds held a 35-shot lead at afternoon tea but could not sustain the pressure and went down by 5 shots to a more determined Berwick combination.
The fourths, after struggling all year, finally had a good result, defeating Mulgrave Country Club by 15 shots.
The best winning rink was the Phil Minns’ team of George Szysko, Glendon Vernon and Ron Gibbs.
The ladies A1 side was also a big winner, defeating Chelsea by 32 shots.
Unfortunately the B1 and B2 teams both went down to Waverley Golf.
