THE DRUM Theatre will kick off its 2007 season with a fresh pick of homegrown talent.
Dandenong Theatre Company (DTC) will perform Noises Off this February, a tongue-in-cheek look at a production company where anything – and everything – can go wrong before the big night.
Described by DTC as a comedy of breakneck pace, Noises Off also explores the off-stage relationships – mainly jealousies – between cast members, as they struggle to tie together the loose ends for their own comedy, a sexy-themed Nothing On.
Noises Off is written by Michael Frayn, and will be directed by Matthew Caton.
It will open at the Drum on Friday 2 February at 8pm, and will run on Fridays and Saturdays until 10 February.
For those with a passion for theatre, the Drum is offering its annual memberships starting from $50.
The membership prices range from $50 for adults and $38 for concession holders, to family and corporate deals for $150 and $180 respectively.
With an outstanding line-up of shows for 2007 and tickets for shows already in demand, the Drum Theatre says membership also makes a great gift.
