ATM has money to burn

POLICE are investigating a deliberate attack on a Dandenong Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) which caused damage with an estimated repair bill of $50,000 yesterday (Wednesday).
Dandenong Detective Senior Constable Miro Majstorovic said an ATM next the TAB building outside Dandenong Plaza was set alight between 3am and 3.30am on Wednesday morning.
Det Sen Cons Majstorovic said the fire had “totally ruined” the machine.
He appealed for anyone with information about the fire to come forward.
“We are waiting on (surveillance) footage, hopefully we’ll have that next week,” Det Sen Const Majstorovic said.
“But one thing we are interested in is that there was a white Budget rental removal truck seen in the area.
“We hope someone has information about the truck, or that the driver can come forward to contact us.”
Anyone with information can contact Det Sen Const Majstorovic at Greater Dandenong CIU on 9767 7535.
