Smile, you’re live on TV!

WALLARANO Primary School students were bleary-eyed but full of enthusiasm for a special appearance on a national breakfast television program this week.
More than 150 students and dedicated parents arrived at the Noble Park school at 6am on Tuesday as the Today show filmed students’ participation in a sack race sponsored by bakery chain, Bakers Delight.
Principal David Duff said the school found out it would be on national television just three weeks ago and that the morning’s turnout surprised him.
The school’s physical education co-ordinator, Helen Lester, said the Bakers Delight Sack Race was an Australian and New Zealand program involving 55 schools.
Ms Lester said the sack race promoted physical activity in line with the school’s strong focus on health.
But she said only Wallarano had been chosen for the television broadcast because it fitted the perfect suburban school profile.
Following Today’s broadcast of the 10-student sack race, students, staff, parents enjoyed a healthy breakfast provided by Bakers Delight.
