ELECTRONIC traffic control signs are the basis of a new art form that can be found in Dandenong.
But it is pedestrians, not motorists, who will be the target of what the City of Greater Dandenong council describes as ‘quirky’ messages on the boards.

“Imagine walking down the same Dandenong street you do every day only to catch sight of a huge message sign in the corner of your eye,” the council said in a statement.
“Pausing to read the sign, you realise the message is quite different – a personal note speaking only to you.”
The Affirmation Boards are at three sites – Dandenong Train Station, Lonsdale Street and Palm Plaza – until 22 October.
