Bottle shop bandit bolts

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an attempted armed robbery in Dandenong.
They allege a man stood outside a Bennet Street bottle shop about 10.40pm on 5 September and shouted “open the door, open the door”.
A staff member called police and reported that it appeared the man had a weapon in his hand.
The would-be thief ran away toward Greaves Reserve before police arrived.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
