SPRINGVALE police are calling for public help to investigate an attack on a man travelling on the Dandenong railway line over the weekend. Police say the man, travelling towards the city, was approached by 10 to 15 youths between the Springvale and Westall stations.
They demanded his wallet and mobile phone. The group told the man they were carrying weapons but failed to produce them.
Police say this is not the first time this type of incident has occurred on the line and are hoping members of the public can help with their investigation.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Springvale CIU on 8558 8600 or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
