A random intercept in Dandenong uncovered a haul of guns, knives and drugs, police said.
Frontline Tactical Unit members pulled over a vehicle on Princes Highway about 10.30pm on Friday 8 September.
They searched the vehicle and allegedly uncovered ice, ecstasy, a homemade gun, a sworn-off rifle and knives.
Police arrested a 33-year-old Doveton man and a Noble Park man, 38, and charged them with firearm offences, weapon offences, and trafficking and possessing drugs.
