Lifesaver for tennis club

The Noble Community Tennis Club will soon have a life-saving defibrillator.
Keysborough MP Martin Pakula announced that the club was among 301 successful applicants for the device and a training package through the Defibrillators for Sporting Clubs and Facilities Program’s third round.
Without a defibrillator close by, the survival rate for sudden cardiac arrest is between 2 and 5 per cent.
When a defibrillator is used within the first few minutes, the survival rate can rise to 70 per cent.
The new devices will appear on Ambulance Victoria’s database so that triple-zero operators can direct callers to them when emergency strikes.
