YOUNG people in the City of Greater Dandenong are invited to participate in an action-packed school holiday program.
For two weeks, Greater Dandenong is offering a range of activities for people aged between 12 to 25, including everything from cooking classes, jewellery making, team sports and art classes.
Sports fanatic can register their team for the Spring Sports Fest on 22 September at Hemmings Park, Dandenong. The free tournament incorporates football, basketball and rugby and runs from noon to 3pm.
For the more adventurous, ice skating will be held on 27 September, a high ropes course on 29 September or a snow tobogganing trip to Lake Mountain on 30 September.
A special young women’s self-defence workshop will also be held to promote awareness, empowerment, and safety. This will be run by a qualified female instructor and will be held 28 September at Y Stop, 39a Clow Street, Dandenong, from 1pm until 3pm. This workshop is free but bookings are essential.
