Bullies beware

STUDENTS in the City of Greater Dandenong will be taking part in a campaign against cyber-bullying as part of a new council campaign.
The City of Greater Dandenong will launch the Stamp Out Cyber-Bullying campaign as part of Mental Health Week celebrations in October.
The council has been working with local secondary schools to raise awareness about cyber safety.
The council’s community services director Mark Doubleday said the number of reported incidences of cyber-bullying were on the rise. “Cyber-bullying has been identified as a key concern affecting young people within our community,” he said.
“In response to these community concerns Greater Dandenong has been working in partnerships with local secondary schools to develop a social marketing campaign that combats cyber bullying and promotes cyber safety messages.”
The social marketing campaigns, which include short films, newsletters, workshops, posters and plays will be displayed at a community launch on 13 October.
