School crash sentence wait

A DOVETON man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to charges related to a car crashing through the fence of Dandenong West Primary School on 19 May this year.
The incident left four children injured, including a six-year-old boy who had to have his right foot amputated.
Taban William Gany appeared in the County Court on 8 December and pleaded guilty to four counts of negligently causing serious injury and one count of reckless conduct endangering persons.
His lawyer, Lachlan Carter, told the court that Mr Gany took “full responsibility for what occurred as a result of his negligent driving”.
Mr Carter told the court that Mr Gany, 32, “should not have been driving” and was “completely reformed in response to the horror of what occurred”.
