FEW things are as irritating to the average Australian family as sitting down to a quiet homecooked meal, only to be interrupted by telemarketing calls.
Federal member for Isaacs Ann Corcoran has released a new information kit for local residents on how to reduce unwanted telemarketing calls.
Ms Corcoran’s kit, available from her office, details the ways in which consumers can significantly reduce the number of unwanted marketing calls, mail, mobile communications and email.
The kit also provides information on how marketing companies access your consumer information, what your rights are regarding consumer privacy and ways to increase the security of your information.
For a copy of the kit or for more information, phone Ms Corcoran’s office on 9769 1955.
