A VAN stolen from Keysborough was set alight on the side of the road in Yannathan on Monday.
Pakenham police saw the Mercedes van on fire by the side of Western Port Road about 4.30am.
Police said the delivery type van had been taken from the driveway of a Keysborough home at 4am but had not been reported missing.
The owner only noticed the van had gone after being contacted by police.
The van was destroyed.
