READING books is being promoted as a ‘cool’ thing to do during this year’s Children’s Book Week.
This year’s theme is Reading Rocks, and Greater Dandenong’s libraries have planned some exciting activities between 20 and 26 August to celebrate.
The magical storytelling of Matteo the court jester will be on show on Monday, 22 August at the Springvale and Dandenong libraries, and has been billed as a real favourite for local school children.
Carp Productions, a talented pair of young actors, will perform short plays of three books that have been shortlisted for the children’s book awards, and guarantee laughs and hilarity.
Carp Productions will perform at the Dandenong and Springvale libraries on 24 and 26 August.
