The Country Fire Authority has released pictures of the effort after fire erupted at Fletcher Insulation along Frankston-Dandenong Road, Dandenong South, on Sunday, 18 February, at 5.30pm.
Workers were on scene when they noticed smoke and flames, according to firefighters.
After donning protective masks, firefighters used a forklift truck to separate the insulation batts and hose them down.
