AT the halfway point of the Dandenong District Cricket Association season, the Turf One premiership is still well and truly up for grabs.
Berwick and North Dandenong dominate the top two positions, with Berwick four points ahead thanks to an outright victory.
Both teams should record wins this weekend, when Berwick takes on Dandenong West (11th) and North Dandenong clashes with St Mary’s (12th) in one-day action.
But all eyes are on 13 January when the two ladder leaders clash in a two-week game that is sure to break the Turf One ladder wide open.
Springvale South and Buckley Ridges occupy third and fourth positions and are both locked on 24 points.
This weekend Springvale takes on Parkfield in what should be a tight contest, while Buckley Ridges would be confident of victory against the lowly Southern Pirates.
Doveton (sixth) has its season on the line when it takes on Cranbourne on Saturday.
Doveton has three wins and three losses and needs another victory to stay in the hunt to play finals.
