System keeps works on track

By Melissa Meehan
DANDENONG’S CASE Equipment held the Australian launch of a new bobcat tyre track system on Friday.
Glen Wolfenden, business developing manager for Bobcat Tyres, said that the south-east was the perfect area to launch the new rubber track system.
“The product came in two weeks ago and we thought that the south-east would be the best place to hold the launch,” he said.
“There are a lot of contractors going into new building and residential estates around there.”
He said the new system allowed bobcat, or “skidsteers” as they should be called, users to work in the rain, and in muddy and sandy areas.
“Previously there has been a lot of down-time for these contractors who can’t work in muddy conditions in fear of getting bogged down or losing traction,” Mr Wolfenden said.
“But the new system stops that, it really beats the problem.”
The track system was developed in France by Solideal and it is believed that it will change the industry for the better.
The machine is on display at CASE Victoria until 24 April.
