Charged over rape

A DANDENONG man has been charged with abduction and sexual offences following an incident over the weekend.
Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have arrested 25-year-old Pardeep Khurmy in the early hours of Sunday morning after an 18-year-old woman alleged she was abducted and raped by a man.
The 25-year-old man faced an out-of-sessions hearing and has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 23 April.
Victoria Police is encouraging victims of violence or sexual assault to report the crime by dialling ‘000’.
They said violence against women was never tolerated in Victoria.
