A BIG crowd was on hand on Thursday evening at Sandown Park to celebrate ‘Man’s Night’, with the club aiming to raise money and awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and The Big Aussie Barbie.
Plenty of men on-course participated in a range of games and activities, with the club reaching their target in raising a massive $20,000 for the foundation.
The AFL Footy Finals’ race proved to be the most popular race of the night, with each of the eight greyhounds in race five allocated an AFL team.
Norma Gost’s Lady Toy took out the race in Geelong colours, much to the delight of Cats’ fans.
The Big Aussie Barbie is designed to encourage men all over Australia to discuss prostate cancer and be aware of the risks and how the PCFA can help.
The campaign is now in its fifth year, and for the first time will be held at all of the 12 greyhound racing tracks around Victoria, intending to raise much needed awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
