What is something people don’t know about you?
My talent as a comedian, who is able to perform and sing professionally in big concert halls. I’m also good at real estate negotiating.
What has been the most memorable moment in your life.
The first speech after taking the role of SABA president, and my wedding day – it was 42 degrees and the compressors broke down during the dinner. The heat rose over 45 degrees.
If you had to choose, what would your last meal be?
Australian lamb cutlets with broccoli, cherry tomatoes, cheese, fresh salad and a nice bottle of shiraz from Heathcote, McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Barossa Valley or Margaret River.
If you could witness any event, past, present or future, what would it be?
A large Australia Day event run by me at MCG or the biggest stadium
What is your favourite television show?
Not much time for that. It’s been only kids shows in the last 10 years but recently The Voice, Australia’s Got Talent and Iron Chef.
What is your favourite book?
Books related to successful people.
You are hosting a dinner party and can invite six guests, dead or alive. Who would they be?
Elvis Presley, Roman Tam (from Hong Kong), Andy Dang, Elton John, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
While taking an order from a girl at my former restaurant and witnessing her breast pop out from her very low cut top. She had to repeat her order for beef rendang but I couldn’t move until others at the table called for my attention. I then ran straight into the kitchen but forgot what she ordered.
If you could live in a particular era, which would you choose?
I would choose to be born in the ’50s.
