SOCCER-mad Samual couldn’t believe his luck when he found himself
rubbing shoulders with representatives of one of the most famous soccer
clubs in the world.
Samual was among members of Doveton Special Soccer School who were
invited to show off their moves in a Liverpool FC Foundation clinic as
part of the Reds’ visit to Melbourne last week.
Samual and his friends put their skills on display in a range of dribbling and shooting drills that impressed the coaches at the clinic at Waratah Reserve in Doveton.
The Liverpool FC Foundation used the senior team’s visit to Melbourne as an opportunity to run clinics for children whohave disabilities.
In the international friendly match, meanwhile, the Reds claimed a
2-0 win over Melbourne Victory, to the delight of 95,446 fans at the
MCG.
