Knife raider strikes

A THIEF armed with a kitchen knife terrified diners when he raided Keysborough McDonald’s.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Kane Taylor said the man entered the store, on the corner of Perry and Cheltenham roads, about 9.45pm on 4 October.
He covered his face with a T-shirt, demanded cash from staff, and fled the scene with a small amount of money.
Sen Const Taylor said the store was quite busy and customers included several children.
“It’s an absolutely horrible crime,” he said.
He is looking for witnesses who saw where the man ran to, and the driver of a light-coloured car who slammed on their brakes to avoid hitting him as he ran across Perry Road.
“We are very, very keen to identify who was driving that car,” Sen Const Taylor said.
Call the Embona taskforce on 8558 8638 with any information.
