Racecourse fire under control

CFA and MFB crews have a fire at Sandown Racecourse under control.
A CFA crew responded to an alarm at the Springvale facility shortly after 11.30am, reported a structure fire and called for backup.
A CFA spokeswoman said information indicated the fire was in the grandstand but that this had not been confirmed.
The flames engulfed an area about 30 metres by 20 metres.
Nine fire trucks remain at the scene, including the Dandenong ladder platform vehicle and four MFB trucks.
