A MAN was been rescued from his upturned car in a drain alongside Springvale Road, Keysborough, last night.
Emergency crews were called to the scene by a quick-thinking bystander after the man lost control of his car and veered off the road into the drain about 11pm.
The man, in his fifties, was in cardiac arrest when he was found in the car which was submerged in the drain’s shallow water.
He was cut from the wreckage by about 11.10pm, a CFA spokeswoman said.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the man was revived by paramedics at the scene.
He was taken to Monash Medical Centre in a critical condition.
